A graduate of Radcliffe College (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and, concurrently, the Kennedy School of Government and the Harvard Law School (M.A., Public Policy and J,D., both cum laude)., Ellen is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
In over 40 years of practice, Ms. Kelman has focused on employee benefits as well as more traditional aspects of labor law. She regularly presents on issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act, ERISA, and equal employment opportunity laws, while assisting her union clients in dealing with increasingly aggressive bargaining by employers concerning pension, health and disability benefits.
Naomi has been practicing in the area of labor law with the Kelman Buescher Firm since graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in May 2006. She was made shareholder in 2013. Ms. Perera received her BA from St. John's College in 2002. She is admitted to practice in Colorado and before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
She represents and advises a wide variety of both public and private sector unions across the Rocky Mountain west, with a focus on representation of public safety workers. She also deals frequently with the more traditional aspects of labor law including work with the NLRB and advising clients on organizing campaigns and the NLRB petition process.
She is a current board member and former board chair of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association.
For more than 20 years Jeanette has dedicated her law practice to protecting working people. Her diverse practice is rooted in traditional labor law – representing unions in all matters from organizing to day-to-day contract administrations to litigation. Jeanette also represents individuals in discrimination, retaliation, employment contract, and wrongful termination cases as well as preserving the rights under the National Labor Relations Act.
Jeanette is admitted to practice law in Colorado, Texas, and Washington State, and is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Labor and Employment Law. She has received Super Lawyers designation from Thomson Reuters in both Texas and Colorado. Jeanette earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 2003 where she served as Associate Managing Editor for the International Law Review. Following SMU law, Jeanette served as briefing attorney to the honorable Douglas S. Lang, Texas Fifth Court of Appeals, and spent her first ten years in private practice litigating plaintiff’s employment law matters.
Born and raised in the north Florida panhandle, Bennett moved to the Front Range in 2019 to attend the University of Colorado School of Law. While at CU – and thanks to several student internships with various law firms and the Colorado Attorney General’s Office – he developed a passion for representing workers and unions in the labor and employment field.
Bennett has worked on numerous labor and employment cases in Arizona, Texas, and Colorado, and has argued on behalf of plaintiffs in litigation. He currently represents clients in all manner of union and employee-side matters.
